Do you want to help adults in St. Joseph County learn to read? Follow the links below to learn how.

  • Volunteer
You can volunteer to be a tutor. The only requirement is your own ability to read and your willingness to work with an adult student one-on-one. A tutor's time commitment is typically just one hour a week. Go to the Volunteer page to learn more and to submit an application.
  • Little Library
You can donate books to help grow the Literacy Council's Little Library program. The Little Library program places small boxes on outside stands that offer free books for anyone to borrow, or for people to place used books to lend. See the Little Library page to learn more.
